Transport to Le Havre, installation, and the installation off F\u00e9camp of the gravity bases for the wind turbines have begun.<\/p>\n

After several months of preparation and training on our Le Havre-F\u00e9camp marine pilot simulator, the manoeuvres and piloting of the barges transporting the 71 gravity bases for the F\u00e9camp wind farm have just begun.<\/p>\n

These exceptional marine operations were made possible and prepared for thanks to the close collaboration with SAIPEM and the Port of Le Havre’s port institutions: the Port of Le Havre’s Harbour Master’s Office, Boluda Towage Le Havre and the Port of Le Havre’s boatage service.<\/p>\n

One of the world’s largest crane vessels, the Heerema Marine Contractors SLEIPNIR, then installed the bases off F\u00e9camp.<\/p>\n

The gravity foundations (Bouygues Travaux Publics) are shipped by rolling by a subcontractor of Bouygues Travaux Publics and Saipem, SARENS, in charge of lifting and rolling to quay. The bases, each weighing 5,000 tonnes, are then transported three by three by barges operated by SAIPEM to their final location at sea.<\/p>\n
