An unusual piloting operation for our Station on Monday 6 March: the submarine Sindhuratna (a diesel-electric vessel 71 metres long and 11 metres wide) is calling at the port of Le Havre to take on supplies and fuel.

The planned stopover at the Jean Reinhart quay will last 2 or 3 days, until around 9 March.

The INS-Sindhuratna is a Kilo-class diesel-electric attack submarine, considered to be the quietest class of diesel-electric submarines in existence.

We would like to thank the Gendarmerie Maritime in Le Havre for sharing these magnificent photos.
